Background

When you think about people who have changed the world, names like Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King Jr. and Princess Diana might come to mind. But what if I told you that teenagers from around the world are starting to make a difference?

We have read many success stories about self-made teen millionaires, which really shows that anything is possible when you set your mind to it. However, success is not always measured by the money you make. Success comes in many forms and speaking up to make the world a better place is one of them.

This article is dedicated to a few of the many teenagers who have built up the courage to speak up for what they truly believe in.

And is it for money? No. It is for something much more important, which is to make their mark in the world and make sure that everyone knows who they are and what they stand for!

Malala Yousafzai is a prime example of a teenager who, despite having suffered horrific circumstances in Afghanistan, fought for her right to an education. She now studies at Oxford University in England. In 2014, she became the youngest person ever to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. Click here to take a look at Malala’s Nobel Prize acceptance speech.

Emma Gonzalez, a Marjory Stoneman shooting victim, has inspired many around the world with her powerful speech about the loose gun laws in America. She, together with other students who survived the shooting, swore that their school shooting will be the last! If you want to take a look at Emma’s emotion-filled and inspiring speech, click here.

If you have something you are passionate to change, maybe you, too, will find your voice and inspire others to follow you.

Check out more teenagers who have used their voices to inspire others!
