Animal-Loving Dream Jobs

A question teens are often asked is: “What do you want to be when you grow up?” If I ask you this question, some would have an answer straight away, some would need to think more and the rest would say they don’t know exactly, but they want it to be connected to a specific field, like working with animals.

This article is dedicated to all of you who want to be surrounded by pets in their job but don’t know specifically what they want to do yet. The main animal professions we know of are veterinarian, pet-trainers and zookeepers, here are a few cool options you probably haven’t considered yet:

Pet Detective – Be a hero and find a lost dog or bring home safely a missing cat to their worried family. Some successful pet detectives even have trained tracking dogs that assist them with locating lost animals. So actually you are helping pets help other pets!

Pet Bakery Worker – Provide high-quality cakes, cookies, and other snacks for cats and dogs. You can also cater to events pets are invited to or pet birthday parties.

Animal Cruelty Investigator – Advocate for animal welfare and investigate complaints to help neglected or abused animals. This job is definitely emotionally challenging, but it’s also super important and meaningful.

Animal Acupuncturist – Help animals escape their pain and discomfort by acupuncture (traditional Chinese therapy using small needles). Believe it or not, even horses can be helped by acupuncture!
