5 Signs You Have Been Bitten by the Travel Bug

todayMay 20, 2019 12

I have written before about why traveling is good for your soul. Something important that I have to add and warn you about, is that you can be bitten by the travel bug! Your life will never be the same if it happens – some say it might be better J

Do you want to know if you have this bug? Check if you have these 5 strong signs for it:

  1. You work to pay for your next trip.

Some save their babysitting money for their license, some work as waiters so they can party on the weekends; you work so you can pay for your travels.

  1. All the things you need for a perfect trip are waiting in your room.

You have traveled so much you have all you need. Nothing more to take care of, so your next trip doesn’t need to wait. Those with the bug usually don’t even unpack their bag after they come back because they know they will leave again soon.

  1. You have a big vocabulary of words not in your mother tongue.

You know how to say “hello”, “sorry”, “thank you” and more useful words in 5 different languages at least, that you learned during your trips.

  1. Everything that can turn to a trip – will.

You join school teams that have tournaments out of your country, you want to study in a university abroad, you look for a job you can do online at any place in the world and so on. If you have the bug, I’m sure you have more ideas.

  1. You wish your whole life was one big trip.

When you think of your future, you don’t dream of a house and a steady job in an office. You see yourself traveling nonstop; the closest you get to a house is maybe living in a van while traveling.

So… Let us know if you have the bug!
